基地位于乾潭镇梓洲村，地处建德市东北部，与浦江、桐庐接壤。属于龙门山脉的南端，平均海拔480m，附近分布天然榧树林，是香榧原产地之一，独特的土壤气候条件和方便的交通，为发展优质香榧示范林建设奠定了坚实的基础。
